Mulan shouts message which needs to be heard.

Worthy of acclamation, a new Mulan needs not be compared to its predecessor but rather appreciated in it own merit.

Seriously, What is going on?!! Why these people picking on this girl. From the movie and the girl who played her.. Geez Louis.

Im not gonna be sorry, but I come to her defense, for movie itself to the girl who played her. Here's the big Why's.. Please let me enumerate your No's to my Yes..

1. First off for people who wish this movie to be musical- Yes, I'm with you when we miss hearing her sing our favorite tune of "A whole new world". Oops sorry. REFLECTION. (FYI: the singing voice of Mulan we miss hearing is the same person who sang the singing voice of Jasmin in the tune of "A WhoIf you will say then why they did not choose to put this in Chinese Language. I tell you there are plenty of Chinese Language too. If they put it in Mandarin as their main language. Question of what about Cantonese then, Im sure there will be mutiny of which language should be used. Im saying this as the main language of the film. I remember watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, it was in English language. le New World". Her name is Ms. Lea Salonga. well, Just a TONY Award Winner Actress.) Here is my take, Imagine this, A Chinese girl with all her accent. who tries her best to speak in English so that ALL people can understand what she tries to embody, would suddenly sing a perfect tune with a perfect accent. If she does sing in her own tune and her accent, I would not mind hearing it, but would you?

2. If you will say then why they did not choose to put this in Chinese Language. But, there are plenty of Chinese Language too. If they put it in Mandarin as their main language. Question of what about Cantonese then, Im sure there will be mutiny of which language is above. Im saying this as the main language of the film. Then I remember watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon long time ago, The one I've seen was in English language. I tell you this , English is not my native language. But when it was in English language, it drew my attention to the beauty of Chinese narrative. though they could have released it with subtitle, but I might be missing the cinematography that captures the narrative. This is not to compare with other Asian released with subtitles. This was before, when Asian film has yet to set foot in Oscars. I missed watching that kind of movie and Mulan lets me revisit my memory of that film. In my view, this film is in that kind of genre. So I for that reason, did not compare the film to its predecessor. Maybe wishing at least there should be available Chinese translation in Disney+.

3. And lastly, To the actress who played the Mulan. I do not dispute any issues pertaining her. but to boycott the film due to her opinion expressed? I will save my judgement of character aside instead bring focus to other character that was portrayed by these bankable performer. JET LI, my FAVORITE. who I have not seen in a while. Jason Scott Lee. The Bruce Lee? are you kidding me. Tzi Ma and Gong Li, Donnie Yen, Mr Ipman? these reasons are enough.

And so, I enjoyed watching it with other reason as well. In support of Women empowerment, the Chinese Immigrant from all over the world who realized their worth. We enjoyed watching this film with some takeout. Well, you guessed it, Chinese food. though not originally dishes enjoyed in China. But, we like it how it is.
